NPR wrote a phenomenal guide particularly for students creating their first podcasts. This guide covers everything from planning the podcast to production to marketing. I have personally benefitted from reading this plain and simple, straightforward guide to getting my podcast off the ground.
This quote really encapsulates the informal, yet informative nature of this guide:
“We don’t expect you to be experts. In fact, we expect that most of you are putting a podcast together for the first time. And even though this is a contest, it’s also about learning new skills in a fun way. We want to make that learning easier — so we’ve put together a guide to help you along the way.”
In many ways, my blog has sought to answer these questions with the same informality that NPR has in conjunction with my personal experience with various portions of the podcast production process.
In my first blog post called Starting Your Own Podcast,” I lay out three easy steps to starting your own podcast. Click here to read that blog post.
